THINK Together
The BUSD After School Education and Safety (ASES) program provides an opportunity for more than 700 students at seven sites in the school district to receive after school care and academic support. The mission of the program is to engage students in enrichment courses and activities to explore and develop their talents while gaining critical skills needed for success in school and beyond.
BUSD has partnered with Think Together to provide after school program services, which support learning in and out of school.
The Think Together after school program is offered every day that regular school is in session, from dismissal until 6:00 pm. Students engage in fun activities that bolster their knowledge and skills in English, Math, STEM, Arts and healthy youth development. A trained Think Together employee helps students with homework and leads academic, enrichment and physical activities for groups of 20 students.
BUSD dedicates grant and local funds in excess of 1 million dollars, annually to the ASES program, allowing it to operate free of charge to families at Albert Baxter, Thomas Jefferson, Ernie Pyle, Ramona, Washington, Craig Williams, and Frank E. Woodruff elementary schools.
